Training to Become a Tutor

Our tutor training consists of 2 parts:

1. Taking 8 online training modules (self-paced, approximately 9 hours)
2. Discussion groups (4 hours total) conducted by our training coordinator over Zoom or in-person.

Prospective tutors should register with LVMC by completing our online application. We will confirm receipt of your application within one week.

New Tutor Training Orientation Schedule

June 2025

June 5 & June 10 (must attend both sessions), 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Location: Parsippany Main Library, 449 Halsey Rd, Parsippany, NJ.

Fall 2025

 September 11 & September 18, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm (must attend both Thursday meetings). Location: LVMC Morristown Office, 16 Elm Street, Morristown, NJ.

 September 17 & September 24, 6:00 pm -8:00 pm (must attend both Wednesday meetings). Location: LVMC Morristown Office, 16 Elm Street, Morristown, NJ.
